Hydroinformatics provides engineers and designers with information technology tools for the analysis and design of a more complex water resources exercises.
Hydroinformatics has been utilized in the following areas within Sweco Hydroprojekt:
- Simulation modelling This includes, for example, the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic models for the purposes of developing water supply master plans, sewer and drainage master plans, flood protection and many other exercises.
- Engineering services The utilization of hydroinformatics tools is almost always necessary as part of the provision of high quality consulting services. The requirements related to the extent and detailed analyses require the employment of hydroinformatics tools. Additionally, the WINPlan software system is utilized during engineering and design services.
